Areas of Specialization:
Prof. Sun’s research interest is (1) to develop the methodology of the eddy covariance, remote sensing, stable isotope and other approaches, and (2) to quantify and compare the magnitudes and dynamics of ecosystem carbon and water exchange and (3) to explore the biotic and abiotic effects on ecosystem processes of carbon dioxide and water exchange that are unique to ecosystems in China.
