Name: SONG Xianfang

Current Appointment: Professor

Education:

Apr of 1993 - Mar of 1996, Ph.D. (Geography and Hydrology), University of Tsukuba, Japan;

Sept of 1985 July of 1989, M.S. (Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology), Changchun College of Geology;

Sept of 1980- July of 1984, B.E. (Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology), Hebei College of Geology.

Areas of Specialization

To clarify the evolution of the basin water cycle is to achieve sustainable utilization of water resources, "People - Water harmony" an important support. Based on the earth system science theory , the experimental watershed study of bottom-up approach the course, and land-use change / land cover remote sensing data for the study of top-down approach based on the organic integration of full environmental isotope, "3S" the advantages of new technologies such as multi-scale observation. Multi-scale information fusion, based on the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN) and the Water Cycle Research Network, at the national scale, Haihe River and Yellow River areas of the basin water cycle typical experimental basis for the construction and scientific research, through observation and environmental isotope hydrology and other analytical tools , starting from the original innovation, reveals changes in the environment under the typical basin precipitation, surface water, soil and ground water, in order to provide a scientific basis to protect water security.

Based on Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN) and the water cycle research network in the country for the first time established the China Environmental Isotope Network (China-Isotope: China Isotope Research Network in Waters), so that China's environmental isotope hydrology studies to achieve with the international research synchronization. The network includes China precipitation isotope network (CHNIP), major rivers isotope network (CHNIR) and key river basin water cycle research.

To identify the "four water" conversion relations and build a conceptual model of the water cycle at different basins scales.
