China Dr. Hua Ouyang is a research scientist in the field of ecology in China. His major study areas are alpine ecosystems, and climate change adaptation in the Tibetan Plateau. He has organized a series of research projects in the Tibetan Plateau and East Siberia, such as National Basic Research Grand Project: “Evolution of Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau Ecosystems and their responding to the Climate Changes” (No.2005CB422005), National Basic Research Grand Project: “Studies of Key Issues on the Resources and Environments crossing China and Russia ” (No.2005CB742800), and NSFC Key Project: “Studies of Land Processes Responding to Environmental Changes in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau”. Dr. Hua Ouyang was a program manager to the International Center of Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) from 2008-2012. The ICIMOD is intergovernmental organization with the countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan of the Hindu Kush-Himalayan (HKH) region. Dr. Hua Ouyang is the member of standing committee of Tibetan Plateau Research Society. He is the editing board member of Journal of Resources Sciences, Journal of Geographical Science, Chinese Geographical Sciences.
