Name: Suxia Liu
Current Appointment:Professor
Education
Dr. Liu holds a PhD in Hydrology-Physical Geography (1993) from Institute of Geography, Chinese Academy of Science and Bachelor (1985) and Master (1988) in Hydrology and Water Resources from the Hohai University(formerly East China University of Water Resources). She did postdoctoral research in University of Maryland, US from 1994 to 1995 and cooperative research at the University of New South Wales, Australia, University of Waitago, New Zealandand Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, Germany from 2000 to 2003.

Areas of Specialization
She is interested in the research of prediction and estimation of hydrological processes, especially in data-scarce catchments, focusing on interface hydrological processes, spatial-temporal variation pattern, the responses of hydrological to climate change and land use cover change.

Academic Awards
The second Awards of Hebei Science and Technology
Society Appointments
She is the Secretary General of the China National Working Group of the Program of Predictionsin Ungauged Basins (PUB) initiated by the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS).
